How much does it cost to have Delaware.Net build a web site for my company?
Every web site is different, so there is no flat fee that applies to all web site design projects. Delaware.Net will provide you with a guaranteeed price quote for your web site project based on an outline of the content and features that you wish to have built in your site.
We have evolved our design process over the years to make sure that there is very little risk for you, and for us. In many cases, you will see a mockup of your web site design before you pay for it.
How do you determine the cost of web design?
Your first step to receiving a quote for your project is to to complete our Web Development Pre-Qualification Form. Once we get the completed form, we will call you for a free consultation. We can then explain the next steps in our process.
How long does it take for Delaware.Net to design a typical business web site?
Design time depends on a number of factors, such as:
- How soon we meet (or conference call) and develop your scope of work.
- How soon we are paid a deposit
- How quickly you provide us the content we need to build your web site properly.
- Our existing development schedule.
The good news is that we can usually begin to get your content live within days of receiving a deposit, and then we can post your web site live on the Internet in stages.
How much money is required to get started?
We usually require a 50% deposit before the start of ANY work. Designs that cost less than $2000 are due in full at the time work begins.
What if I do not like the site that is designed?
Your deposit is refundable for 30 days. Within that time we will provide a concept of your new site for your approval.
Do I own my web site when it is completed?
All content that you provide us (in paper or electronic form) belongs to you. Until we are paid the balance for the complete cost of the project, any materials that we develop belong to us. Once the balance of the agreed price is paid, you own all of the content that we develop that is on our web servers. Software production tool software, and certain proprietary web application software (like our commerce engine) will still belong to us.
Can I make changes to my web site myself when it is done?
Yes. Static sites can be edited with web design tools, or with WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) tools. Applications that we offer as hosted solutions typically include an administration interface for managing your data.
Are there long term hosting agreements in your web design contract?
No. This sets us apart from other design companies. We feel that our quality of service will motivate you to keep your site with us.
